Domino's Pizza Case Study Case Study

See how we partnered with Domino’s Pizza and Star Digital Advan’s to bring pizza love to Ormskirk with stunning advert designs from our expert digital marketers.
The Brief

Students love pizza, but what do they love more than pizza? Domino’s Pizza and a HOT DEAL!

During Freshers’ Week in Ormskirk and Edge Hill University, Domino’s Pizza wanted to make a bold impression on new students. To achieve this, we created an eye-catching animated advertisement displayed on a Star Digital Advan’s premium mobile digital screen van. The ad featured fiery visuals and the tagline “HOT DEALS”, highlighting Domino’s irresistible offer: Any size pizza for £6.99 when collected or £8.99 when delivered. Strategically deployed to circle high-traffic student areas, the ad aimed to ignite cravings and draw in hungry freshers.
The Process

The Process

Concept & Design: We developed a striking animation featuring flames, bold typography, and a clear call to action. The visuals were designed to captivate students’ attention instantly.

Van Deployment Strategy: The van with the digital screen was scheduled to traverse Ormskirk town centre and Edge Hill University, targeting high-footfall areas during lunch and dinner hours over two days.

Messaging & Timing: The advertisement capitalised on students’ desire for affordable, delicious meals, ensuring the deal was irresistible for a freshers’ budget.

The Results of Investing With Splendesigns

The campaign was a blazing success. Domino’s generated over £9,000 in revenue from pizza sales during the two-day promotion, exceeding expectations. The van’s mobility and the ad’s bold visuals ensured maximum exposure and engagement with the student audience. Domino’s pizzas were practically flying out the doors!
